Frater Chris was initiated into the Alpha-Pi Chapter at The George Washington University in 1996, where he served as Prytanis, Epiprytanis, Grammateus, Hegemon, and Recruitment Chairman. He is a graduate of TKE Leadership Academy X and attended the TKE Centennial Celebration in Boston, MA.
As a Teke volunteer, Chris has attended, or served on the facilitation teams, for the Leadership Academy, Alumni Volunteer Academy, Conclaves, Regional Leadership Conferences, and Province Education Conferences. He has received the Grand Prytanis Key Leader Award, been named Volunteer of the Month, and has held numerous alumni leadership roles including Chapter Advisor, Board of Advisors Chairman, Province Advisor, and Alumni Association President. He has served on several TKE and TEF committees, is a Life Loyal Teke charter member, and has been admitted into the Order of the North.
In his professional career, Chris is a Senior Research Biologist and Project Officer in the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, where he performs biodefense vaccine research and development. The NIH, a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. Helping to lead the way toward important medical discoveries that improve people’s health and save lives, NIH scientists investigate ways to prevent disease as well as the causes, treatments, and even cures for common and rare diseases.
Chris resides in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife Annie and daughter Sydney. Outside of the fraternity, his interests include golf, professional sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
