Dr. James Hickey

Dr. James Hickey was initiated into the Zeta-Alpha Chapter at Wagner College where he served as Prytanis, Hegemon, and Histor. A graduate of TKE Leadership Academy IV, Frater Hickey was named a “Top Teke” in 1993 and is the 1994 recipient of the Ronald Reagan Leadership Award from the TKE Educational Foundation.
A Life Loyal Teke, Dr. Hickey served as the Zeta Alpha Board of Advisors Chairman and was President of the Zeta Alpha Alumni Association. Over the years, he has attended several Conclaves and Regional Leadership Conferences. In the mid 1990’s Frater Jim was also a Rush Coach visiting chapters in the Northeast. Most recently, he served on the TKE Education Committee, co-chaired the Leadership Academy Campaign, and was named Volunteer of the Month.
Dr. Hickey holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education. Recently recognized by his colleagues as the 2009 New Jersey Principal of the Year, Frater Jim is currently the Principal of Old Bridge High School in Matawan, New Jersey, one of the largest in the state with more than 3,100 students.
A life-long donor to the TKE Educational Foundation, Frater Jim is a proud husband and dad of four – three of whom are destined to become Tekes!
