About Ben Ward
Frater Ben was initiated in 1999 in the Sigma Psi Chapter at Clemson University and earned his B.S. in Design. He earned his Master of Architecture in 2008 from North Carolina State University. After graduation, he served as Chapter Advisor for the Tau Tau Chapter and Province Advisor for the Cochran Province. He was also a co-founder of the Sigma Psi Alumni Association in 2006. Ben has focused exclusively on healthcare architecture as an Associate at Curtis Group Architects in Pawleys Island, SC. He is heavily involved in as a regional volunteer for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a constant champion of mentoring emerging professionals. Ben was named the 2016 AIA Grand Strand Emerging Professional of the Year and received a Presidential Citation from AIA South Carolina for service to the profession. He was recently named as part of the 2017 Building Design + Construction Magazine’s 40 under 40 Class. In his free time, Ben enjoys being outdoors in the Lowcountry of South Carolina with his wife, Johanna, and their nearly famous Bluetick Coonhound, Goose.
