Silver Book

The Silver Book is a private document that contains the rituals of our Fraternity. Eight copies of the Silver Book are issued to each chapter at the time of installation. The Pylortes is the chapter officer responsible for maintaining all ritual equipment, including the Silver Book.

The 2007 edition (released early-May 2007) is the newest revision of the Silver Book. The books are serialized and eight copies have been assigned to each chapter. Your chapter will need to replace its inventory of older Silver Books with eight copies of this newest edition. The procedure for ordering books is as follows:

  1. A chapter officer completes the following form indicating who, where, and when we should ship the newest version. Colonies are not issued Silver Books.

  2. When the new books are received, you must notify the Offices of the Grand Chapter.

  3. Older copies of the Silver Book must be returned to the Offices of the Grand Chapter.

The Frater completing this form is personally responsible, on his Bond, for the return of previous versions of the Silver Book.
