Create an expectation that chapter members reach out to those on the Names List quickly and regularly with invitations to spend time together. It isn't necessary to plan big recruitment events for the prospects to be invited to. How many big rush events result in 100+ personal conversations? Not many!
Invitations
A gentleman added to your Names List should receive an invitation within no more than 72 hours to join members of the fraternity in a small activity. Every name on the list should be contacted/invited. If possible, allow the member who put the name on the list to do the inviting.
Referrals
While you are extending the invitation, go ahead and invite him to bring his roommate and/or hall mates. He will think you're a really nice person and you'll have an opportunity to make more friends that will go on your Names List.
Small Activities
Big Events are fun, but they aren't great for getting to know someone new. Inviting a prospect to join you and a few of your friends at a small activity is more likely to produce a comfortable environment and a meaningful friendship. Here's a list of small group activities for you to consider:
