John B. Phillips Scholarship

$1,325

A current member of the Board of Directors of the TKE Educational Foundation, John B. Phillips was initiated in 1958 as a member of Nu Chapter at the University of California, Berkeley. Together with three other Nu Chapter alums he took a lead role in self-financing and rebuilding the then vacant TKE house at Cal in 2003-2004; and the newly inaugurated Nu Chapter quickly became one of the leading fraternities on campus. Prior to commencing his own investment/consulting practice in 2007, he retired twice – first as a regional managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the international accounting and consulting firm and, subsequently, as the CEO of health insurance company California CPA ProtectPlus. He is both an actuary and a certified public accountant.
