Steven J. Muir was initiated a Teke at Beta-Eta Chapter at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he earned a B.S. degree in Ceramic Engineering. A Knight of Apollo, Muir served as Chapter Services Director on the TKE Staff. He joined the Board of Directors of the TKE Educational Foundation in 1996, and is past chairman of the Board. He received the TKE Triangle Award in 1982, was named Alumnus of the Year in 1997, and recipient of the TEF Fraternity for Life Award in 1999. He is a Life Loyal Teke.
Criteria
All of the TKE Educational Foundation leadership and scholarship awards are for the benefit of active members of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
This scholarship is awarded in recognition of academic achievement with a Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 or higher, and must be at least a sophomore or above, and recognizes outstanding leadership within the chapter, having served as a chapter officer or committee chair. The applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or any of the pure sciences (i.e., chemistry, mathematics, physics, geology, etc.).
Preference will first be given to a member of Beta-Eta Chapter, but if there is no qualified applicant, the scholarship will be open to any other qualified Teke.
