Timothy L. Taschwer was named the first president/CEO of the TKE Educational Foundation, serving from 1996 to 2005. He guided the TKE Leadership Academy program and edited the Foundation's annual report. This Knight of Apollo also served as Chapter Consultant and Vice President for Development for TKE. Initiated a Teke at Epsilon-Nu Chapter at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, he earned a degree in natural resources and economics. He served as a Province Officer at the international level, and as a Board of Advisors Chairman and Alumni Association founder and president at the local level. He received the TEF Fraternity for Life Award in 2005. He is a Life Loyal Teke.
Criteria
All of the TKE Educational Foundation leadership and scholarship awards are for the benefit of active members of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
This scholarship is awarded in recognition of academic achievement with a Grade Point Average of at least 2.75 or higher, and recognizes outstanding leadership within the chapter, having served as a chapter officer. The applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in natural resources, earth sciences or related subjects (environmental science, biology, geology, chemistry, etc.).
Preference will first be given to a graduate of the TKE Leadership Academy, but if there is no qualified applicant, the scholarship will be open to any other qualified Teke.
