Dwayne R. Woerpel Memorial Scholarship ($700)

Dwayne R. Woerpel was initiated a Teke and founding member of Iota-Alpha Chapter of TKE at the University of Wisconsin - Superior in 1962. A Knight of Apollo, he served on the TKE Staff in several positions, including administrator of Alumni Services and Foundation activity, and was instrumental in the establishment of the TKE Leadership Academy. He was also chairman of the Board and a longtime director of the TKE Educational Foundation. Serving on the Grand Council from 1975 to 1985, he was elected Grand Prytanis in 1983. He was a recipient of the Foundation's Medal of Excellence in 2000 and TKE's Order of the Golden Eagle Award in 2001. This scholarship was established by family and friends to honor Frater Duwe's lifelong dedication to TKE.

Criteria
All of the TKE Educational Foundation leadership and scholarship awards are for the benefit of active members of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

This scholarship is awarded in recognition of academic achievement with a Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 or higher, and recognizes outstanding leadership within the Fraternity, and in their civic and religious communities.

Preference will first be given to a graduate of the TKE Leadership Academy, but if there is no qualified applicant, the scholarship will be open to any other qualified Teke.
