Frater Appointed to Missouri Board of Governors

St. Joseph, MO - Missouri Governor Matt Blunt has tapped Frater Dan Danford (Xi-Eta), founder and CEO of Family Investment Center, to serve as a member of the Board of Governors for Missouri Western State University. The appointment, which requires confirmation by the Missouri State Senate, is for a six-year term ending in 2012.

"I am delighted to be joining the MWSU Board," said Danford. "MWSU has meant a lot to us over the years, including five diplomas in my immediate family alone. I'm flattered and pleased that Governor Blunt and Senator Shields have asked me to serve. It's an opportunity and responsibility that I'll take very seriously. I can't wait to get started."

Danford holds a BSBA/Marketing from Missouri Western State University and an MBA from Northwest Missouri State University. He was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus by Missouri Western in 2003 and served as a president of the MWSU Alumni Association in 1995.

He has written two books on investing and has been involved in a number of community organizations, including the St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce, the St. Joseph School District Foundation, and Missouri Western State University Alumni Association. He also served as a trustee of Philips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Okalahoma.

The Offices of the Grand Chapter extend a heartfelt congratulations to Frater Dan.
