Beta-Sigma Dribbles for a Cure

Beta-Sigma Dribbles for a Cure

LOS ANGELES, Cal. - The Beta-Sigma Chapter at The University of Southern California participated in the Dribble for the Cure to raise funds for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. The active chapter and new members bounced basketballs throughout campus along side the Top 25 ranked Men's basketball squad!

With outstanding participation and near perfect attendance on Sunday morning, Beta-Sigma raised over $5,000 in less than three weeks winning the award for most money raised by a USC student-run organization! The plaque is proudly displayed in their Trophy case.

"Great things happen when Tekes give back to the community," Chapter President James Ball stated.

The event was under the direction of the undergraduate's new Chapter Advisor, Shawn Talbott. Things went so well that the Chapter is considering that this event should be dedicated as the Fall philanthropy every year. Mr. Talbott was even asked to be on the planning committee for the 2008 fundraiser! TKE doing their best to bounce cancer!
