INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Friday, March 13 is the deadline to apply for the Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. TKE Leadership Academy. For those of you that have never heard of this dynamic programming, this is the flagship of TKE's Professional and Personal Development. There are spots for 60 Fraters who have been involved with their chapter for at least one year. The cost is minimal and the education you will receive is priceless. What are you waiting for? Apply Now. Still not convinced? Keep Reading.

What is this all about?

This holistic development opportunity occurs each summer for the best and brightest leaders of TKE chapters across the United States and Canada. This year's exciting program will be held Friday, May 29 through Tuesday, June 2, at La Foret Conference and Retreat Center located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The academy has grown from 28 in 2006 to 60 in 2008, and TKE volunteer leaders and professional staff are developing education to help collegiate members become better leaders for themselves, their chapter and campus, and beyond. The TKE Leadership Academy aims to continue the long-standing tradition of cultivating leaders by providing the tools and application of a solid life skills portfolio in a controlled environment.

Frater Bryston Cutter (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin College), a graduate of Leadership Academy XIX, said this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for TKE members. "Graduating from the Leadership Academy has really helped me focus on living my life in congruence to the values of our Fraternity," said Frater Bryston. "The reflection and values-based learning has had an impact on the way that I treat my fellow Fraters and everyone else I have come into contact with. I feel like that experience helped me throughout the rest of my college career, and undoubtedly has stuck with me into my professional career."

If you need help deciding if it is worth your time, all you have to do is ask any of the sixty Fraters who attended in 2008. Learn more about the Academy by clicking here. Apply or Nominate a Frater today.
