Awards are Yours for the Taking

INDIANAPOLIS - Finals are wrapping up and soon it will be time for fun in the sun. Before you head out for the summer, don't forget to get your chapter some recognition for all the hard work you have put forth this year. By filling out the Annual Report and Chapter Awards, you can ensure that your efforts do not go unnoticed.

If you are curious about one of these awards, take a look at the eligibility requirements and selection criteria. Talk to your local advisors and the TKE professional staff if you have questions. If you are eligible, interested and are prepared to put in the necessary work, go for it. In the words of one of the Top Teke Chapters of 2008, "there are no guarantees-except that if you do not apply, you are guaranteed not to receive an award."

What are the chapter awards available? You may apply for these by filling out the application on the Membership Maintenance Module.

1. Excellence in Recruitment - Results
2. Excellence in Recruitment - Chapter Size
3. Excellence in Involvement - Community Service
4. Excellence in Involvement - Alumni Relations
5. Excellence in Achievement - Academic Success
6. Excellence in Achievement - Extracurricular Activities

Chapters and colonies that do not meet the minimum requirements for an Excellence Award may apply for Honorable Mention. Apply.

If your chapter meets the minimum requirements for at least 4 of the 6 Excellence Awards, your chapter will be considered for recognition as Top TKE Chapter. The application is due May 15.

Annual Report

The Black Book requires each chapter and colony to complete an Annual Report prior to May 15. Please use the TKE Membership Maintenance Module to complete your report. You can also download a copy of the report if you want to review it prior to completing the on-line version: 2008-09 (pdf).
