Congratulations 2009 TKE International Sweetheart Amanda Klaus

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Offices of the Grand Chapter is proud to announce the 2009 TKE International Sweetheart is awarded to Amanda Klaus representing Kappa-Kappa Chapter at Monmouth University. She boasts an impressive resume filled with excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, and involvement with the chapter. Amanda will officially be crowned at Conclave in New Orleans.

Miss Klaus joins an impressive class of 54 other sweethearts since the inception of this program. Upon being notified of her selection as the next International Sweetheart, Amanda was rendered speechless. After she collected herself she said, "This is the perfect way to end the memories the Kappa-Kappa Chapter has helped me to create at Monmouth. I am so honored to be able to represent the brothers and help them be recognized for the amazing things they have been accomplishing."

Amanda graduated earlier in May with a degree in communication, earning a 3.47 Grade Point Average. She was the Senior Class President, Student Government Association Vice President and President of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority. In addition, she was a member of Rho Lambda Honor Society, Order of Omega, and the Homecoming Queen in 2008. She is an avid volunteer participating in Relay for Life, The Heart Walk, Revlon Walk, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, and raised money for the Michael Feat Foundation, ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders), and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
