Take Time for Service

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – It’s the time of year, if you haven’t already thought about it, to start planning for a service or philanthropy. Tau Kappa Epsilon has two primary philanthropic partners: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Alzheimer’s Association. If you would like to learn more about our partnership with service organizations, please go to the service page of tke.org.

In 2009, more than 250 chapters recorded at least one community service event raising more than $780,000 for charitable causes. The TKE Nation stepped up to the challenge with 196 chapters raising an average of $25 per man. In 2010, we are looking to push even further eclipsing the million dollar mark and getting all of our chapters to do at least one philanthropic project. Be sure your chapter utilizes the Membership Maintenance Module to record all service projects.

There has never been a greater time to push even harder to serve your fellow man. The economic times we have endured recently have been stressful on all of us. Community Service and raising money for causes like St. Jude and Alzheimer’s are in desperate need of your support. Keep working hard and doing what you can to Build a Better World.

If you have questions or need help setting up your project, email us. Be sure to follow the latest TKE News with the RSS Feed, on Twitter or the official TKE Facebook Fan Page (Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity).
