Nu-Eta Colony Earns High Honors

The Nu-Eta ColonyBOISE, Idaho - In the past few weeks the Nu-Eta Colony of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Boise State University has completed numerous semester goals. These were specific and measurable, they were crafted with the specific intention of crediting both the colony and the international fraternity, as well as both the university and community at large. Last week Frater Travis Skodack was elected to the position of senator at large of ASBSU in the wake of Nu-Eta's endorsement of his party aptly named "New Attitude". Late last week Frater Justin Loutsis was hired as Assistant Director of BSU's Volunteer Service's Board. On Saturday evening after a week of rigorous competition in multiple events as well as the BSU Greek Olympics, TKE was named BSU Greek Week Champions. Finally, the Nu-Eta Colony of TKE was recognized by the student body and university as Best Greek Organization at Boise State University. Their only question that remains, "What will next week bring?"

The colony began as a cold-start expansion by the TKE Professional Staff. This adds to an impressive list by the expansion staff led by Frater Matt Gutierrez (Upsilon-Iota, IUPUI). The team of Matt and Associate Regional Director of Region Four (4) Joseph Gurule spent six (6) weeks working to get the colony up and running.

Matt was a founding father of the Upsilon-Iota Chapter and said this experience was very different from his efforts at IUPUI. "We went to Boise with high expectations, but we couldn't have dreamed this much success. We found great men to start this colony and they found more of equal quality to push forward. This was like watching kids grow up before your own eyes. They are remarkable group of men and I look forward to seeing them continue this level of achievement for many years to come."
