To be a Leader is a Choice

To be a Leader is a Choice

Leadership Academy XXIVINDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - More than 85 years ago a young man had a decision to make - join TKE or not. As is the case for many members, this was not something to take lightly. It involved responsibilities of lifetime involvement, learning how to lead, and a commitment to develop the skills necessary to build a better world. In the end, he came to the conclusion TKE was right for him. He took the first confident step forward and never looked back. A Grand Officer, recipient of Alumnus of the Year, TEF Fraternity for Life, and Order of the Golden Eagle awards, inaugural member of Life Loyal Teke, and, perhaps his most influential contribution, endowing the top educational program in TKE the Leadership Academy – the late Frater Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. (Upsilon, Univ. of Michigan) never hesitated to give of his time and financial support to ensure more men could gain the experience he was so thankful for.

In celebration of what would be his 105th Birthday, the challenge to build yourself as a better man lies in the institute that honors his name – The Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. TKE Leadership Academy. You, like Frater Walgreen, have taken that first step. Now is the time to become the man TKE knows you can be. Apply for the 25th installment of this storied program today.

Why?

Since this program was developed, it has steadily incorporated tools you can’t learn in the classroom. You will be challenged to go beyond your comfort zone and develop into a difference-maker.
