You Should Be Recognized
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Has your chapter excelled in academics or community service? How about alumni relations or campus involvement? It is time to be recognized for your efforts. Take a few minutes out of your hectic schedule to fill out the annual report (found in the TKE Maintenance Module) and awards applications. You could be walking across the stage at Conclave in San Antonio to accept one of these great honors or even the most coveted Top TKE Chapter or Top Teke.
The deadline to apply is quickly approaching - May 16 - and if you don’t apply there is a guarantee you won’t win. Take a look at the categories and see if you qualify. If you don’t qualify for the award, you can still be recognized by applying for Honorable Mention.
Chapter Awards - Apply
Top TKE Chapter
You must qualify for at least four (4) Awards of Excellence categories to be considered for the highest award the Fraternity bestows on a chapter.
Excellence in Recruitment - Results
Recruitment results rank in the Top 3 of fraternities on campus
Chapter recruited at least 20 men
Chapter initiated at least 80% of men recruited
All candidate and initiate fees are paid
Excellence in Recruitment - Chapter Size
Chapter size must rank in the Top 3 of fraternities on campus
Chapter size is at least 40 men
Excellence in Involvement - Service
Chapter sponsored at least 1 chapter event
Chapter raised/ donated at least $25 per man for charitable causes
Chapter performed at least 10 hours of service per man or at least 350 total hours
Excellence in Involvement - Alumni Relations
Have an active Chapter Advisor and Board of Advisors
Established alumni database
At least 3 alumni events per academic year
At least 4 alumni newsletters produced (print or electronic)
Excellence in Achievement - Academic Success
Grade Point Average must be at or above the All-Men’s average on campus for Fall semester
Above a 2.5 GPA
Excellence in Achievement - Extracurricular Activities
More than 50% of members involved in campus organizations or community organizations
At least one member in attendance at the TKE Regional Leadership Conferences or Leadership Academy
Most Improved Chapter
This award is given to a chapter that has made great strides in the various areas of excellence over the past year.
Individual Awards
Top Teke
This is an individual award presented to a senior or graduate student (who has not earned this recognition before) for outstanding performance as a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. If you are a good student and have demonstrated superior leadership skills during your tenure, this recognition could be yours. Much like the Top TKE Chapter award, only a handful is selected throughout the TKE Nation. Make sure your name is included by

Top TKE Recruiter
Did you have an amazing year of recruitment results? If so, the chairman or another member who made a significant impact on this outcome should be considered. The individual must be able to explain how his membership recruitment skills are exceptional.
