Successful Province Education Conferences

Successful Province Education Conferences

Fraters at the South Carolina PECFraters have been gathering all over the TKE Nation for the past month at Province Education Conferences to gain skills, learn about the fraternity, share best practices, meet other Tekes and have a great time together. Primarily run by volunteers at the province level, education is focused to meet the needs of the local area. The majority of these PECs are one day events showcasing  some new tricks to become a better colony or chapter and discover what others are doing to be successful.

Region 2 (The South) Regional Director Nate Lehman (Theta-Iota, Northern Michigan Univ.) said they have all been a resounding success.

"I've had a great time being at the PEC's that I've had the chance to attend this year," Frater Nate said. "What's made it even better is how well we are doing across the board in TKE Nation with all of our goals."

Those Key Result Areas (or KRAs) were sent out in poster form last month (on TKE Facebok Fan Page). They include Membership, Education, Academics, Alumni, Involvement, Service, Philanthropy and Risk Management. The over-arching goal is to build Better Men for a Better World and through these focuses the Fraternity achieves success.

"As a Fraternity, we are well ahead of where we were this time last year with recruitment and we've already had so many great service projects and philanthropy results reported on the maintenance module. It's simply amazing to see how much excitement and energy is out there in TKE Nation."

The momentum from these gatherings is intensified after the first half of the academic year when Regional Leadership Conferences begin. The great work of many will be recognized and a push to even greater heights will be given.

"A ton of the credit goes out to our great volunteers that are working so hard to put these Province Level Conferences on for our members. I am looking forward to seeing these men again at the RLCs."

There are more PECs on the schedule. Don’t see yours? Let us know.
