Updates Needed

Updates NeededINDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Many changes are happening in the TKE Nation and we want to be sure all the information is up-to-date. Here are a few simple questions to ask yourself to ensure everyone is on the same page.

  1. Have you held officer elections?
If so, you need to update the Membership Maintenance Module with the contact information for everyone. Even if you have been an officer but are changing positions or staying for another term, we need to have confirmation your email and phone number are current.

  2. Have all candidates been initiated?
If the answer is yes, we need to be sure their initiation date and fee have been collected, as well as their contact information, scroll number and any other pertinent facts are submitted. This will make their badge and certificate come quicker, they are added to news and events updates, and much more. The Membership Maintenance Module is where you log all of this info. If you need help getting your materials - contact us.

  3. Have you signed your Code of Conduct?
All members need to sign TKE’s Code of Conduct. You should have received correspondence from both TKE and GreekBill (who is assisting us in this process). If you did not get this information, please contact GreekBill to get everything set-up. The process is simple and will probably take a few minutes of your time. It helps ensure everyone understands the obligations you took becoming a member of this great Fraternity. **Please note, you do not need to sign-up with GreekBill's Services to sign this document. This is only the vehicle we are utilizing to perform this function.**

  4. Is it difficult to collect member dues?
TKE has partnered with GreekBill to assist you in not only collecting money for your chapter, but also utilizing their resource to create budgets, file taxes and take away some of the leg work and difficulties the Crysophylos incurs while in the position. Take a look at the information and email them to get started.

  5. Are you in need of a chapter website?
This is a simple tool to showcase the chapter that TKE has provided at no cost to you. It is easy to get started by going to our site and can easily be passed down from officer to officer or member to member. There are many ways to personalize and still be in the know for all TKE news and events.

  6.  Did the chapter perform service or philanthropic events?
These all need to be recorded in the Membership Maintenance Module. Whether you performed five or 500 hours or raised $20 or $2,000, the important thing is that you have helped build a better world with your efforts. We also would like to recognize you by including these on the website or in The TEKE Magazine. If you need ideas, you can look at the most recent edition or the service section of our website.

  7. Our chapter isn’t in The TEKE Magazine or on the website. How do we get in?
It’s very simple - email us information about events or news. Answer the questions of who, what, when, why, where and how AND include pictures of high quality (no facebook images please). The next deadline for news in The TEKE is this week, but for inclusion on the website news or events send it right away - the deadline is revolving (in other words get them in any time).

  8. Are we guaranteed a spot for Conclave 2013 in Washington, D.C.?
Yes. The next Conclave Savings Plan payment is due November 30. This small fee, broken up in four installments, ensures a total of $1,000 to be used for your attendance at Conclave. The Black Book requires at least one representative per chapter, but the money can help send as many people as desired with an additional discount. Check back often for updates on the exciting events Conclave 2013 will provide.
As always, if you have questions about anything above or general needs, don’t hesitate to email or call us (317.872.6533). We hope the semester has gone well for you so far and you are looking forward to a great remainder of the year.
