TKE CEO Takes on New Challenge

Fraters,

One year and four months ago, I started on a new journey to help take TKE a giant step forward.  My excitement arose for the great traditions of TKE and the new opportunities to raise the bar on our mission to build Better Men for a Better World. The launch of the Top Gun program challenged each Frater to push the envelope to new heights in campus involvement, academics, service, philanthropy, education, and alumni involvement. At the same time, we provided education and communications to make safe choices to protect our brothers and our Fraternity. Your results = TKEs results, which are record breaking. Based on unofficial results, you have exceeded Top Gun on each of the above initiatives. Membership exceeds goal and we will finish our fiscal year with more than 3,800 new initiates for an overall membership that exceeds 11,100 members. We did this together by listening to your feedback during the Regional Leadership Conferences, taking guidance from the Grand Council, and executing the necessary actions to transform TKE.

Congratulations to all of you. You are Top Gun Leaders! These are great accomplishments!

Your path forward is clear. Maintain your momentum. With over 11,100 members I know that you will continue to exceed the limits setting new records on your journey.

My journey will change now. At IBM, NSHMBA, and now TKE, my gift has been in transformation and business success. While my heart and volunteer time will always be focused on helping young men and women through education, my spirit is in the business world. My dream as a young man was working and living abroad. I had hoped that having done that at IBM for many years I could settle down. It is not the case. This is my last official communication to you as your CEO. It has been a pleasure and an honor serving as the 11th CEO of the greatest fraternity on earth. Thank you and the Grand Council for the opportunity.

I am proud of the great steps we have taken together. I am proud of our successes. And I am proud to be a Teke. Please know that wherever you go that if you need a Wingman, give me a call and I'll be there. All the best to each of you.
