Two Fraters Take on New Challenges

Two Fraters Take on New Challenges

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Fraters Todd Farmer (Xi-Theta, Univ. of West Georgia) and Greg Roskopf (Zeta-Zeta, Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) will be taking on new roles on the professional staff of Tau Kappa Epsilon. These veterans will be playing to their strengths developing and enhancing different aspects of the fraternity experience.

Todd Farmer, Director of Alumni & Volunteer Services

Frater Todd FarmerThis 16-year staff member has helped the organization become a recognized leader in a variety of areas within the Greek Community. Through his hard work, he has created standards the Fraternal Services Team will be able to utilize for years to come. They include recruiting new members, cultivating volunteers, and keeping all members engaged. These skills will aid him in the new role as he works to overhaul programs such as Life Loyal Teke, Alumni Associations and volunteer involvement.

Frater Todd will take a unique approach to one of the biggest problems in the TKE Nation - making the "Fraternity for Life" commitment a reality. He will be working to create energy, excitement and value in extending alumni and volunteer assistance. Whether alumni choose to volunteer on a local or international capacity or they become a member of an Alumni Association, he seeks to continue the TKE journey beyond the college doors.

Greg Roskopf, Curriculum Specialist

A Top Teke in 2003, Frater Greg has combined a wealth of experience from earning his masters degree in student affairs administration in higher education, serving as a campus administrator and several years serving as a professional staff member at TKE. He will be concentrating his efforts on creating curriculum, looking for ways to improve current programs, and studying ideas for future endeavors. Some of the initial tasks he is looking to tackle include augmenting Province Educational Conference resources, designing preventative risk education, and standardizing proper officer transition.

Frater Greg has been doing several of these things already in his other roles, but will now be able to concentrate his efforts on this important aspect of the fraternity experience. The Blueprint program, a member development initiative, will be another area of focus. From analyzing the inner workings to implementation, he will work to spread this throughout TKE Nation.

In both areas, these Fraters will be tasked with one of the biggest needs of improvement - lifetime involvement. Many Fraters are success stories today because of the undergraduate experience. How to keep TKE on the minds of all members from initiate through alumnus is about strengthening their bond. It will not be easy, but with your assistance Fraters Todd and Greg will flourish in these new capacities.
