With registration for the 2013 Regional Leadership Conferences open, many groups have already registered their members for one of the five locations. If your group hasn't registered yet there is still time. If you register before December 10th, you can save $50 per person by registering four people at the quad rate. For a Chapter that sends 8 men, that's $400 in savings.
How can you save even more money?
1. Campus Funding
Talk with Student Services, Greek Life Administrators, and/ or Student Government.
Colleges and universities have money allocated for student organizations to attend leadership training conferences. Often times this money goes unused, but can be accessed by asking the question.
2. Special Projects Funds
These funds are built up by donors who earmark dollars for your chapter. The TKE Educational Foundation holds this money for you to access educational opportunities like RLCs, Conclave, other leadership conferences, or construction on an educational part of the chapter house. More than $170,000 is currently available in Special Projects accounts. You can use these funds when you register but you will also need approval from your Board of Advisors Chairman.
3. Chapter/Colony Credits
With the new registration system, groups can access credits on their statement and apply them directly to their RLC registration. More than $50,000 in credits are currently available to use. To find out if your group has any of these funds available, check out your statement at module.tke.org.
Many chapters hold fundraisers to help pay for educational opportunities like Conclave. Anything from working the concession stand at a sporting event to selling coupon books, members can earn enough money to send multiple members for free to this type of conference.
