White House Announces Campaign to Prevent Campus Sexual Assaults

WASHINGTON (AP) - In the recent wake of sexual assault reports throughout college and university campuses over past months, the White House has decided to announce a nationwide public service campaign aimed at urging young people to do more to prevent campus sexual assaults.

The campaign is called "It's on Us," a message that is intended to make sure that everyone feels a responsibility to confront the problem of sexual assault. The "It's on Us" campaign will use social media, partnerships with colleges and private partners with reach among college students to attempt to create a culture where sexual assault is unacceptable and victims are supported.

TKE is taking a stand with the White House in its effort to end sexual assault on college campuses.

Next week, Tau Kappa Epsilon's Chief Executive Officer Donald E. Aldrich will make a formal statement in regard to TKE's mission to end sexual assault across campuses.
