2015 International Sweetheart Applications Now Available

 

Do you know the next TKE International Sweetheart?

Nominations for the 2015 TKE International Sweetheart are now being accepted. Only 59 women have received this honor and you can add your sweetheart to this select group by applying today. This woman will represent the organization at conferences, receive a $500 academic scholarship courtesy of the TKE Educational Foundation, and be recognized through various communication platforms.

The International Sweetheart is selected annually through online voting on Tau Kappa Epsilon's website (tke.org) at a later date. Votes will be compiled from chapters in the traditional form sent. Nominees are chosen based on grade point average (GPA), honors and awards of distinction, extra-curricular activities, community service and involvement with the local TKE chapter.

The 2015 International Sweetheart will be crowned this summer at Conclave in New Orleans, LA. 

Applications must be submitted or postmarked by Sunday, March 15, 2015. 

To apply, download the 2015 Sweetheart Application, complete the required steps and send all required information and photographs to:

After all entries have been received by the Offices of the Grand Chapter, four to eight finalists will be selected. A professional poster will be prepared, containing a short biographical sketch and photograph of the finalists. This poster, along with a ballot, will be distributed to all chapters for voting. All candidates will be notified of their status before the voting process begins. Each chapter member will have the opportunity to vote online once the finalists are announced. The candidate with the most votes becomes the 2015 TKE International Sweetheart.

Additional Notes:

• The new International TKE Sweetheart will be featured in THE TEKE magazine. (Supplemental photos included with your applications will be used for the magazine layout. These can be full-length, casual/formal shots depicting school life, hobbies, vocational endeavors, etc.)
• A $500 academic scholarship, funded by the TKE Educational Foundation, will be awarded to the International Sweetheart.

Helpful Hints:

• Be sure to include the required color photographs. Applications without proper photos will not be accepted.
• The "head and shoulders" photo will be used to prepare the "finalists" poster. Computer generated or digital photographs will not be accepted. 
• Photographs taken by a professional photographer may give contestant a better chance at winning.
• Pack photographs carefully to avoid damage during shipment. Do not mount on a book or in a notebook.
