INDIANAPOLIS - Tau Kappa Epsilon is proud to be a partner with the White House's It's On Us campaign, an initiative to prevent sexual assault on college and university campuses. Since our partnership, the Offices of the Grand Chapter has seen chapters and colonies throughout TKE Nation actively working toward the prevention of sexual assault.
Once again, it's time for Tekes to get involved in another Week of Action. Kristin Avery, campaign manager with It's On Us, has provided the following message:
Friends,
It has been almost 6 months since the It's On Us campaign launched with President Obama and Vice President Biden at the White House. Since then, hundreds of thousands of students, parents, administrators, and community members have taken up the call to action. We're excited to announce our second Week of Action for April 12-19, 2015, and we need your help!
As many of you know, April is National Sexual Assault Awareness month, and serves as a critical reminder of how prevalent sexual violence is around the country. Throughout the month, we will be using both online and offline actions to provide support for survivors as well as tackle the question that is central to it all: How can we stop sexual assault from happening?
Throughout the week of April 12-19, It's On Us will be working to engage students across the country though on-campus events and social media campaigns. In this toolkit, you will find the resources and tools to plan an event on your college or in your community. Please read through it, and if you have any questions, reach out to the campaign at contact@itsonus.org.
