Epsilon Chapter Celebrates 100 Years of Excellence
On May 28, 1915, Grand Prytanis Lyle Straight and other fraternity officers traveled to Ames and Iowa State University to install a group of men (organized as the Seminoles) as Epsilon Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon. With the addition of the fifth Chapter (and the first Chapter outside of Illinois) TKE came of age by satisfying the National Interfraternity Council requirements for membership, thus becoming a nationally recognized fraternity.
Our alumni leadership and undergraduate members have been diligently working to bring together Fraters and friends for our celebration of our centennial event. It is with great pride that we take the time to recognize this momentous occasion of both Epsilon becoming the first chapter of TKE to reach 100 consecutive years of operation AND 100 years of Tau Kappa Epsilon being a national fraternity. No doubt this centennial celebration would be an excellent opportunity for you, your spouse, and family to revisit Epsilon Chapter and re-connect with fraternity brothers, pledge sons, classmates, and those who helped shape your life. This event can be an opportunity for you and your pledge class to re-connect and even have a mini-celebration before, during, or after the football game too.
