Frater David Woods Enters Chapter Eternal

The Offices of the Grand Chapter is saddened to share the passing of Frater David William Woods to the Chapter Eternal. Frater Woods, 26, passed suddenly on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

Initiated at the Iota-Pi chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Kent State University, Frater Woods received his bachelor's in Business Administration in 2012.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Katie, family and friends, and was active with the Iota-Pi chapter following graduation. David was a member of the Horan Clan and Pi Sigma Epsilon Professional Fraternity. He and his wife were active in fostering and rescuing dogs with the Rescue Inn of North Olmsted. David coached baseball with West Denison and basketball with the I.B.A at St. Ignatius of Antioch for many years.

A celebration of Frater David Woods' life was held Sunday at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. The memorial mass was today, June 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church, 10205 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland.

David was a graduate of Tau Kappa Epsilon's Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. Leadership Academy and was very passionate about his experiences following the event. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Leadership Academy fund where a donor has pledged to match all donations made. This will allow others to learn and carry on with the values in which he truly believed.
