John Deckard Departs, Pat Gleason Named Interim

Tau Kappa Epsilon announces the departure of John Deckard from the TKE Professional Staff, effective immediately.

The Professional Staff of Tau Kappa Epsilon is expected to be exemplars of love, charity, and esteem in their personal and professional lives. We have policies in place that ensure our employees live up to that high standard.

Frater Deckard made many contributions to Tau Kappa Epsilon during his time on staff. Recently, however, some of his choices conflicted with our fraternal values and fell short of our expectations.

As a result, Frater Deckard is no longer employed by TKE.

My primary responsibilities as CEO are to safeguard our principles, deliver value to our membership, and lead our Fraternity in building better men. I take these obligations entrusted to me seriously.

The Professional Staff serves daily for the privilege of bettering our organization and its men. The strength of our team will continue to be derived from modeling "not for wealth rank or honor, but personal worth, and character."

I am pleased to announce I have appointed Frater Patrick Gleason as Interim Chief Operating Officer. Frater Gleason has served as Chief of Staff and, most recently, as Chief Risk Officer. The relationships that Frater Gleason has formed with campus professionals and the experience he has in leading teams engenders the trust so many have in him, including me. His dedication and commitment to TKE will challenge the Fraternal Services team to raise standards and help lead the TKE Nation on a path of continued excellence.
