TKE Professional Staff Structure & Promotions 2016-2017

TKE Professional Staff Structure & Promotions 2016-2017

Today, Chief Executive Officer Donald E. Aldrich announced the TKE Professional Staff structure and promotions for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

Effective immediately, Frater Alex Swenson (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin College) and Frater Greg Roskopf (Zeta-Zeta, Wisconsin-Milwaukee) have both had their interim tags removed. Frater Swenson is the Director of Education and Frater Roskopf is the Chief Risk Officer.

Beginning June 1, the following Fraternal Services Team structure will take effect:

  1. Cory Martin (Upsilon-Iota, IUPUI) will serve as the Director of Fraternal Services. The Director of Fraternal Services role will manage the 6 individuals on our traveling staff who work directly with each of our chapters and colonies across TKE Nation as well as our expansion team.
  2. Rees Linville (Epsilon-Iota, Youngstown State) ascends to Director of Central Operations. Travis Skodack (Nu-Eta, Boise State) will remain as the Director of Coastal Operations.
  3. Under the leadership of Linville and Skodack will be four new employees serving as Fraternal Services Consultants. Byron Reyna-Corzo (Pi-Alpha, Ashland), Zachary Scott (Epsilon-Beta, Tampa), Santos Lara, Jr. (Alpha-Nu, New Hampshire), and Adam Hanna (Zeta-Mu, Worcester Polytechnic).
  4. Tau Kappa Epsilon has dedicated three members to help our Fraternity thrive. Under the guidance of Director of Expansion, Gabe Espinosa (Beta-Xi), both Tanner Shelton (Xi-Eta, Missouri Western State) and Tim O’Neil (Zeta-Mu, Worcester Polytechnic) will be dedicated to aid our expansion efforts across multiple new campuses next fiscal year. In a shift of our previous models, both Shelton and O’Neil will each be stationed on one to two campuses per semester to help build strong groups on the campuses we expand to in 2016-17.

Aldrich said about the improvements, “Our staffing model allows us to return to geographically based Fraternal Services Consultants. These men will handle specific states or TKE provinces, accounting for roughly 40 chapters/colonies per person. By geographically basing our chapters once again, we can continue to be better stewards of our members' money while increasing the time we are available to spend with each group. We expect our staffers will lead our current groups to reach their potential while coordinating with our Alumni Engagement Team to ensure they have the volunteer/alumni mentorship that is critical in successful TKE groups. Our Expansion Team has been constructed by looking at our peers and researching how strong fraternity chapters are built. We believe this structure will make our membership proud and create colonies that lead to sustainable chapters that improve their campuses and communities.”

With this announcement, two additional promotions have been shared as well.

Nathan Lehman (Theta-Iota, Northern Michigan), an Army veteran and long-serving staff member, will be filling a new position entitled Director of Fraternal Health. In this role, Lehman will work with the technology and communication team to build additional analytics and chapter health indicators to help identify fraternal trends and develop additional resources to help our chapters be successful.

Jeremiah Smith (Grand Chapter), who has served as our Web Developer for the past two years and played a leading role in the development of the new tke.org website, will be promoted to Director of Technology.

In conclusion Frater Aldrich stated, “I am honored to serve an outstanding Grand Council and alongside an amazing team at the Offices of the Grand Chapter each day. These promotions are well-earned and the benefit of hard work and dedication to the benefit of our membership. I look forward to seeing the successes of our team and TKE in the 2016-17 year.”
