Assistant Director of Programs

Amanda Koerth

Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director of Programs, I am charged to design, implement, and provide values-based programming and educational services to the chapters, colonies, and alumni associations within the Fraternity. Along with the Vice President for Fraternal Services, I am responsible for all of the Fraternity's Educational Programs-from revamping the Member Development Program and Officer Manuals to overseeing programs such as the Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. Leadership Academy and Regional Leadership Conferences.

About Me
While I was born in Wisconsin and spent my early years in the Mid-West, I grew up predominately in Richmond, Virginia. I went to James Madison University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English before I traveled as a consultant for my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. After traveling all over the country, I settled for a short two years in Columbia, South Carolina, where I earned my master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs Administration. I then moved to Athens, Georgia for my first job out of graduate school. I worked at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) as a Greek Advisor. I have for a long time been passionate about working with students, especially those in fraternities and sororities, and I particularly enjoy the interaction with students that comes from values-based programming. When this position came open, I jumped at the opportunity to develop programs for the largest men’s fraternal organization and moved back to the Midwest where a large portion of my family resides.

What I Like To Do in My Free Time
I love to cook; try new restaurants; take walks with my dog, Hazel; travel; read—especially anything by my favorite author Marian Keyes; watch movies; and spend time with friends and family.
