Frater Donald R. Tapia Nominated for Ambassador to Jamaica

Please join us in congratulating esteemed Frater Donald R. Tapia on being nominated for the title of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Jamaica. Frater Tapia served as Chairman and CEO of Essco Group management, the largest Hispanic-owned business in Arizona for over three decades.

Frater Tapia has made a positive difference in numerous philanthropic efforts, including being one of the top donors to the TKE Educational Foundation, having established multiple scholarships, the naming of the Midwest Regional Leadership Conference and the Tau Kappa Epsilon Headquarters.

He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Sun Angel Foundation at Arizona State University, Boys & Girls Clubs of Phoenix, and the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix Arizona.

Frater Tapia is an Army Veteran. He received his B.A. and M.B.A. from Saint Leo University, Saint Leo, Florida, where he also was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. In addition, he is a member of the Sigma-Theta Chapter at Saint Leo.

While Don is serving as the Ambassador at the pleasure of the President, he will go on inactive status with all Boards, including the TKE Education Foundation.
