Frater Ed Daizovi Appointed to Grand Council At-Large

INDIANAPOLIS – The Grand Council is proud to announce the appointment of Frater Ed Daizovi (Alpha-Zeta, Purdue) to the open Grand Council At-Large position.

Venerable Grand Prytanis Ted W. Bereswill shared, "The interest of qualified Tekes to fill this position was outstanding. Nearly 200 Fraters communicated interest in the open position. Of the more than 35 Fraters who completed an application, the Grand Council Board Development Committee rigorously reviewed each applicant and conducted a series of interviews for the finalists."

Frater Edward Daizovi was initiated into Tau Kappa Epsilon at the Alpha-Zeta Chapter at Purdue University. He received a Bachelor of Science Management (Minor in Finance) from Purdue University in May of 1990 and earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in May of 1994. He is a former military officer and test pilot, business executive, and U.S. diplomat with extensive experience and an excellent track record. Ed speaks Spanish, French, Italian, and German.

Prior to his retirement in September 2021, he spent more than a decade as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State. Working overseas as an American diplomat he led efforts to protect America, to advance our interests and values around the world, to address global challenges and to strengthen our partnerships. Throughout his career Ed has spearheaded efforts to fight poverty, hunger and disease and lead efforts to address transnational global challenges like climate change, the use of our planet’s oceans, health problems and to ensure that economic growth is broadly and inclusively shared.

When describing Frater Daizovi, Venerable Grand Prytanis Bereswill said, "Frater Daizovi is a dynamic member of our TKE family who has exemplified our principles throughout his life and is committed to serving the Grand Chapter. We are excited about how his experience can help the Grand Council on a strategic level and are thankful for his service to Tau Kappa Epsilon."

Frater Ed Daizovi shared, "I am excited to serve on the Tau Kappa Epsilon Grand Council because it provides me with an opportunity to continue my life of service in two specific ways. First, it affords me the honor of helping to lead and support programs vital to our fraternity which, in the end, directly impact one critical area near and dear to my heart … building better men for a better world. Second, it provides me with the distinct honor of giving back to the organization that has given so much to me – my TKE fraternity."
