Two Members Appointed to Collegiate Advisory Committee

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Tau Kappa Epsilon announces today that Chief Executive Officer Donald E. Aldrich (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin) has appointed two new members of the Collegiate Advisory Committee for the remainder of the biennium.

The new Collegiate Advisory Committee members are Eli King (Sigma-Chi, UC-Davis) and Jake Siemsen (Gamma-Iota, Colorado-Boulder). These candidates was unanimously approved by the Past Grand Prytani of TKE this week.

The Collegiate Advisory Committee (CAC) consists of nine collegiate members, geographically representative of the Fraternity, appointed by the CEO and approved by the Past Grand Prytani, to act as advisors to the Grand Council. The committee selects its own Chairman, who serves as a voting member of the Grand Council and represents the committee at each Grand Council meeting. The current Chairman is Frater Phillip Hartke (Beta-Chi, Southern Illinois).

Frater Aldrich shared, "These Fraters are experienced, proven leaders whose insight and dedication will continue driving our Fraternity forward. Each appointee brings not only valuable perspective from their home chapter, but also a diversity of thought that will help us advance our mission. I’m proud and eager to work alongside them as we continue building a Culture of Champions this biennium."

Frater Eli King is a Senior Managerial Economics Major at the University of California, Davis. He has served the chapter as Pylortes, Community Service Chair, and PR Chair. He is a graduate of the 38th Charles. R. Walgreen, Jr. TKE Leadership Academy.

"I have seen firsthand what the values of accountability, guidance, and leadership can shape for the brothers in the bond," said Frater King. "By joining CAC, I hope to strengthen that process and contribute to creating an environment where the Men of TKE can thrive both inside and outside the fraternity."

Frater Jake Siemsen is a Junior Political Science Major at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He is the current Prytanis and a graduate of the 37th Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. TKE Leadership Academy.

"Serving as a bridge between the international leadership and our collegiate members, both in my chapter and across my area, naturally builds on the work I’m already doing," said Frater Siemsen. "My experiences at Conclave, RLC, and Leadership Academy have also allowed me to form strong connections with many at the headquarters, relationships that will help me succeed in this role."
