Memphis Alumni, Collegiates Welcome Grand Council

GC Reception MemphisINDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Grand Council, along with members of the TKE Professional Staff, were welcomed by the Memphis area alumni and collegiates “Elvis-style.” The group gathered at the Elvis Presley Car Museum following their visit at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital earlier in the day. More than 50 people turned out for fellowship and fraternalism.

After the attendees had a chance to view part of Elvis’s car collection, they were able to enjoy some light hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Grand Prytanis Herb Songer (Alpha-Upsilon, Fort Hays State Univ.) spoke on the state of the Fraternity - its growth both in membership and involvement, as well as our renewed partnership with St. Jude. He specifically recognized the Pi-Epsilon Chapter (Christian Borthers Univ.), thanking them for their extensive work on Building Better Men for a Better World. Their involvement with St. Jude and other non-profits in the area have shown the community TKE’s commitment to service.

The Grand Council continued to meet Saturday on other matters facing the TKE Nation.
