This award recognizes the lifelong commitment of Charles R. Walgreen, Jr., as a TKE volunteer and supporter. Frater Walgreen was initiated at Upsilon Chapter at the University of Michigan in 1925. He was a Past Grand Officer of TKE and was honorary chairman of the Foundation\\\'s Centennial Endowment Campaign. He received the Alumnus of the Year Award (1976) and the Order of the Golden Eagle (1989), and was the first recipient of the Foundation\\\'s Fraternity for Life Award in 1997.
Criteria
All of the TKE Educational Foundation leadership and scholarship awards are for the benefit of active members of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
The Charles R. Walgreen, Jr., Scholarship Fund is available to any Teke with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The award will be based on merit and those with the highest academic achievement. Evidence of service to the Fraternity chapter, campus community and beyond will enhance the strength of the application.
