TKE Educational Foundation Names Interim CAO/CEO

The TEF Board of Directors of the TKE Educational Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Campbell to the position of interim Chief Advancement Officer/CEO effective immediately.

Frater Campbell, who is a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, is a 1959 initiate of Delta-Epsilon Chapter at Cleveland State University and has been a longtime supporter of Tau Kappa Epsilon and the Foundation. He is a Life Loyal Teke and an inductee into the Circle of Excellence.

In 1976, Frater Campbell formed Campbell & Company, and developed the organization into one of the nation's leading not-for-profit fundraising, marketing, and executive search firms based in Chicago, Illinois. He was appointed Chairman in 1995 and retired in 2006.

Frater Campbell has received numerous honors in the field of philanthropy including the Hank A. Rosso Medal for lifetime achievement in ethical fundraising. He has been described as a "giant of the fundraising profession." He is generally credited with leading fundraising efforts for the not-for-profit organizations that led to over $4 billion in contributions to educational and leadership causes. Among his many accomplishments is serving as Chairman of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

In addition, Frater Gary Reed, who has led the Foundation since 2005, continues as a valued member of our team in the role of President and Major Gifts Officer.

The TKE Educational Foundation is a 501(C)(3) organization founded in 1959 for the purpose of raising funds for the benefit of Tau Kappa Epsilon in support of its educational and leadership programs. Over the past ten years, the Foundation has raised $11.7 million dollars and has provided $1.9 million to our Fraters in grants through collegiate scholarships, leadership and special project initiatives on behalf of specific chapters. The Foundation has assets exceeding $8 million, along with an additional $9.3 million in documented planned gifts.

The Foundation is charged with the responsibility to work closely with the Fraternity leadership to continue to move the enterprise forward in support of our nearly 12,000 undergraduate men and approximately 240,000 living alumni and further the goal of building "Better Men for a Better World."

Simultaneously with this announcement, we are opening a national search for our next great leader to permanently fill the position of Chief Advancement Officer/CEO, which Frater Campbell is currently filling. Among the position requirements, the applicant must reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. Membership in TKE Fraternity is preferred, but not required.
