The Grand Council of Tau Kappa Epsilon Has Extended Donald Aldrich’s Contract as CEO for Ten Years

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Grand Council of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity is proud to announce the execution of a contract extension with Donald Aldrich (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin) to remain as Chief Executive Officer for the next ten years.

“Over the past nine years, Frater Aldrich has stabilized our Fraternity’s leadership, built an excellent staff, and weathered the storms of COVID-19 and its’ effect on male social fraternities,” said Ryan J. Vescio, Grand Prytanis and Chairman of the International Board of Directors of Tau Kappa Epsilon. “As the Fraternity prepares to celebrate its 125th Anniversary and further expand our mission (to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development, for life), Frater Aldrich is the right man to lead our future.”

When asked about the recent extension, Frater Aldrich commented “Each day I am extremely humbled by the trust placed in me to lead. It is an honor to serve the Grand Council, the TKE Foundation, and our membership. Our success is due in large part to our amazing volunteers and the dedicated Professional Staff family that strives daily to meet the needs of our membership. I am inspired by their commitment to see our Fraternity flourish. I remain appreciative of the advice and counsel of Past Grand Prytani, lifetime volunteers, and mentors. Additionally, this commitment is not possible without the steadfast support of my wife and three children who understand my love for the Fraternity and the sacrifices needed to serve. I am thrilled to continue in the pursuit of advancing our mission and creating dynamic leaders as we chart the future of our Fraternity.”

Aldrich, 39, has had a nearly 15-year career with Tau Kappa Epsilon. After serving as Housing Director and then as Director of Programs and Events, Aldrich was appointed Chief Executive Officer on March 1, 2014. During his time as Chief Executive Officer, Tau Kappa Epsilon has become the largest Men’s Fraternity contributor to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, having donated approximately $6.8 million dollars during his tenure. Additionally, TKE has significantly reduced its risk incidents & claims through education and the implementation of the eCompliance program, expanded its membership with over 45% initiate growth in the last year, and steered the execution of the latest strategic plan, launched by the Grand Council in March 2020.

Recently, Frater Aldrich has been appointed to lead the TKE Foundation, serving in a dual CEO role. He is charged to increase our capacity to support our membership by growing both our donor base and total assets. Currently, the TKE Foundation grants more than $500,000 in annual scholarships and awards to assist collegiate members.
