Northern Arizona University is back in 2009!

Tau Kappa Epsilon will return to Northern Arizona during Spring 2009. TKE is offering a unique opportunity for student-leaders on campus to take part in rebuilding the Epsilon-Rho chapter.  During the months of January and February TKE Professional Staff will be seeking the best men on campus to be Founders of the newest group in TKE Nation.  TKE is the world's largest collegiate social fraternity with over 270 groups in North America.  We believe the true purpose of Fraternities has too long been overshadowed by misinterpreted "social" aspects of its organizations. We are sure most men have all kinds of wild ideas about fraternities simply based on the stereotypes in the media today.  This is why Tau Kappa Epsilon is seeking to Re-define Fraternity across the nation.  In returning to Northern Arizona University, we are excited to start a group that is focused on our true purpose:  Being better men, and in doing so, building better communities and a better world.

In order to accomplish this, Tau Kappa Epsilon will be seeking morally-grounded men who are invested in their campus and community and who will ultimately be invested in Tau Kappa Epsilon as valued alumni.  These men will be the backbone and foundation for creating an organization on campus which will impact men for years to come, and thereby leave their lasting legacy at NAU.  A second initiative, along with recruitment, at our expansion sites is to recognize and reward those men who are not affiliated with Greek Life, but who hold themselves to the high standards of character and achievement that all Teke's should aspire.  Lastly, our third initiative, is to build a team of advisors who will steer and guide our new group to become a Top TKE Chapter.  These individuals do not have to be male, Teke's, or even Greek affiliated.  To learn more about the requirements and responsibilities of TKE Advisors click here!

When rebuilding the chapter at NAU, Tau Kappa Epsilon will foster an environment which will assist our members in enhancing their knowledge, developing professional skills, clarifying personal values, all while providing service to others. This group of men will be challenged to serve as role models for other campus organizations - setting higher standards for not only the entire Greek community, but the campus as a whole.

This will be done through a structured member education focused on:

  • * Personal Growth through self-discovery and reflection
  • * Instilling civic and social responsibility
  • * Creating cross-cultural and global awareness
  • * Aiding ethical and moral development
  • * Promoting servant leadership

As Re-Founding Fathers of TKE, our members are challenged in various leadership roles, arming them with skills that will carry over to their professional and personal lives after college.
