Grand Council & Black Book

In addition to awards, two of the most important aspects of the convention are making changes to the Black Book and voting for your next Grand Council. To make changes to the Black Book, please read this article.

The new Grand Council, as of the 2009 Black Book legislation change, consists of eight elected Grand Officers, two at-large alumni appointed by the Grand Officers, and a representative of the Collegiate Advisory Committee.

Applications for potential candidates to fill the 2011-13 positions are now being accepted. If you or an alumnus you know would make an outstanding member of the Grand Council, please submit supporting materials today. The Grand Prytanis requests that suggestions and supporting materials be submitted by July 22, 2011 to allow the nominations committee ample time to review the skills each would bring to TKE’s leadership team, and identify top prospects to make sure the Fraternity has the strongest, most well-rounded board possible. In particular, suggestions for alumni with a strong background in higher education, governmental relations, media/ public relations, association management, or housing/ commercial real estate are encouraged.

Grand Council members are not compensated for their service, and are expected to cover their own expenses related to travel and TKE-related service. Candidates should further review Grand Council Ethics & Commitment Statement, Conflict of Interest Policy, and other information as found on www.tke.org related to Grand Council service

If you need assistance or have questions, you are only a phone call or an email away from it. Contact TKE and we can get all the answers to your questions (Phone 317.872.6533 or email).
