Patrick Gleason Named TKE's First Director of Compliance and Housing

 

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Tau Kappa Epsilon today announced that Patrick Gleason, of Indianapolis, Indiana, has been named the Fraternity's first Director of Compliance & Housing – the latest in a series of innovative measures undertaken, by CEO Shawn A. Babine, to strengthen TKE's strategic position for the future. The position was created to centralize, manage, and expand oversight responsibility for the Fraternity's judicial affairs, risk management, and compliance programs, while expanding the unit's involvement in establishing a national housing program. In 2013, the Fraternity was successful in completing Phase I of a national housing program whereby establishing a new corporation and setting internal policy on how that initiative will take structure. 

 

Gleason who has experience in organizational management, planning, and oversight of residential housing programs will head the new compliance and housing unit within the international offices located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
 
"Today, we begin to redefine the organization's approach towards judicial affairs, risk management, compliance and collegiate housing. Patrick is the right person, at the right time, and who will contribute to the success of the program," said Shawn A. Babine, Tau Kappa Epsilon's Chief Executive Officer. "Patrick's job is no easy task. He must focus on those things that challenge us the most and that have the greatest exposure for our Fraternity. Patrick will help ensure that TKE men are Better Men Who Build a Better World."
 
Mr. Gleason said, "I'm honored to have been selected by the CEO for this important position and I look forward to working with TKE's judicial committees, members, volunteers, and fraternal services personnel to uphold the integrity of Tau Kappa Epsilon and our housing corporation."
 
Among Mr. Gleason's other prior experiences, he was a national account manager for GRM Document Management Company in New York City, where he supervised a major accounts unit and was an accepted candidate to the New York City Police Academy before joining the professional staff of TKE in 2012. 
 
Patrick begins his new position October 15, 2013 and comes to the position having served TKE's Chief Executive Officer as the Chief of Staff.
