Frater Michael Beals Selected as Grand Council At-Large Member

INDIANAPOLIS - Venerable Grand Prytanis Christopher T. Hanson (Alpha-Pi, George Washington) is proud to announce Frater Michael Beals (Epsilon, Iowa State) has been selected to serve as the final At-Large Member position for the remainder of the biennium.

During his collegiate time at Iowa State, Frater Beals served the Fraternity in multiple roles - as Grammateus, Epiprytanis, Recruitment Chairman and Prytanis. In addition, he was selected to serve as the Chairman of the Collegiate Advisory Committee. This role afforded him a position on the Grand Council as the first collegiate representative since The Black Book amendment in 2009 which allowed the CAC Chairman have a vote on the Council.

He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Iowa State's Ivy College of Business in 2010. Since graduation, he continues to be actively involved in the Fraternity serving as the Alumni Association President and as the Board of Advisors Vice Chairman and Treasurer.

Professionally, Frater Beals is a Financial Analyst for Principal Global Investors. He started at Principal in March 2017. Prior to this role, he worked at Deloitte as an Audit Manager for more than five years. He lends his professional experience to the Fraternity as well serving as a member of the Fraternity's Finance and Audit Committee. This committee reviews the Fraternity's financial statements on a monthly basis under the leadership of the Grand Crysophylos.
