National Hazing Prevention Week

National Hazing Prevention Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - National Hazing Prevention Week is scheduled for the last week in September. This week is intended to bring attention to the problem of hazing across the country, and provide the perfect opportunity for campuses and international organizations to plan educational activities for students and others.

Hazing has no place in Tau Kappa Epsilon, nor any other fraternal organization, as everything that is associated with hazing is antithetical to our highest teachings found in our ritual. TKE has partnered with several other Greek groups to establish a National Hazing Prevention Hotline. The number, 1-888-NOT-HAZE (1-888-668-4293), will log calls anonymously and forward them to TKE’s Headquarters for immediate action and follow up. This system is managed through the Manley-Burke Law firm in Cincinnati, OH.
Visit the tke.org to learn additional ways the Fraternity is addressing this important topic. For more information and resources about National Hazing Prevention week, please visit www.hazingprevention.org.
