Fraters Seek Way to Help Haitians, Find It
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The devastation in Haiti, after one of the strongest earthquakes to hit the island since 1770, has been immense. The quake (7.0 on the Richter Scale) struck at about 5PM on January 12th and some three million people were in need of emergency care, not to mention those that were hurt because of the two aftershocks that reached 5.9 and 4.2 on the Richter Scale. Tekes now have a way to help the relief efforts through the partnership with Angelwish.
During Christmastime, TKE partnered with the organization founded by Frater
Shimmy Mehta (Theta-Zeta, Rutgers Univ.) to help children have a happier holidays. Now the need has shifted to help those struggling to get their feet back on the ground. Let’s show the globe that Tau Kappa Epsilon is truly Building a Better World by helping the Haitian people during their time of need.
Thanks in advance for your generosity and helping to push TKE even further.
