I Want My Chapter to be Better
A common question that is asked of TKE volunteers and staff is, "How do I make my chapter better?" There is one simple answer: The Blueprint. This is exactly what it sounds like. It guides a man from candidate to active member and beyond.

Most chapters throw all their energy into new members and forget about continuing to develop the upperclassmen. Once you decide what college you want to attend, you don't finish your freshman year and stop there. There is a constant progression towards graduation and beginning your career path. Even then, you don't accept your first job and decide you will stay in the same position forever. You want more - and you should. This is the basic model of TKE's member development program.
If you ask the most successful men in the world, they will all tell you the same thing - have a plan and execute it.
The Blueprint takes the guessing game away and replaces it with a solid road map for you. Based on your needs and desires there is an ability to follow your own path and at your own pace.
Here are the basics:
- The first area guides you towards Initiation. You will work on understanding what Tau Kappa Epsilon is and how joining will make a difference in both the chapter and TKE Nation.
- The next chapter of your TKE journey is the Order of the Founders. You will concentrate on growing mentally, morally and socially.
- The Knights of Classic Lore begins phase three of your TKE journey. This continues to challenge you to grow in the three areas with emphasis on leadership development.
- The Fraternity for Life is the final piece which helps you in understanding the importance of continuing your experience throughout your lifetime. You will harness the power of this organization through the skills learned and begin to showcase them.
Throughout it all you will be determining goals (personal and professional), learning how to make a difference through service and philanthropy, and how you can become a better man. After all, this organization desires to develop Better Men for a Better World. Through your active participation, you will set yourself apart by developing the tools the classroom can't teach you. There is no better place than TKE to get you ready for what’s next.
