Tau Kappa Epsilon is excited to announce the addition of two new Official Guides for chapters and colonies to utilize. The Official Guide for Chapter Meetings and the Official Guide for Candidate Education are designed to help your chapter meetings and candidate educational programs operate more effectively.
TKE Releases New Chapter Meeting & Candidate Education Guides
Chapter meetings should not be feared by the entire membership because of their content or the time commitment. When handled effectively, general meetings should be kept within an hour and achieve everything a chapter/colony needs to succeed, leaving members feeling informed and energized.
As with all of our resource guides, we do not mean to erase a group’s ability to execute meetings based on their own experiences and past methods. This guide is simply meant to cut out the unnecessary, tedious portions of your meetings while not sacrificing any of the important content.

Part of the Hegemon’s role is to develop, implement, and manage a successful Candidate Education Program for the chapter or colony. This involves detailed planning before the candidate education period begins, execution during the education period, and evaluation, reflection, and analysis afterwards.
It's more than just teaching the history of our great Fraternity. The Hegemon is in charge of teaching the future members what it means to be a fraternity man and has the opportunity to ensure these men are ready to contribute to the chapter’s success after initiation.
This Resource Guide includes a detailed outline of a six-week Candidate Education Program, including activities, lessons, and discussion topics focusing on the development of the future of our fraternity.
