Responsibilities
As the Director of Operations, I am responsible for the daily operations of the Fraternity. I supervise a team that handles finance, standards, risk management, meeting planning, and support services. My team consists of the Director of Business Affairs, Director of Internet Services, Standards Coordinators, Network Administrator, Director of Membership Services, Communication Coordinator, Production Coordinator, Systems Administrator, Finance Assistant, Executive Secretary, and Services Administrator. I am a shared-staff employee, which means that I also do work for the TKE Educational Foundation.
About Me
I was born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire. It was there I spent the next 14 years convincing my family to move to Florida. We moved south in 1981 to Spring Hill, Florida. I attended The University of Florida where I earned my Bachelors of Science degree (Business Administration).
Post-college, I served for seven years as a field executive for the Boy Scouts of America, working in both rural and suburban areas. I managed the fundraising, membership recruitment, and new unit organization. For the last 12 years I have been working in the for-profit sector with retail store management and customer service with Alltel Communications.
For the Fraternity, I was honored in 1992 when the Gamma-Theta Chapter asked me to become an Honorary Member. Since that time I have served on the Board of Advisors for the Chapter, and served as the Alumni Association President for five years. I am a Life Loyal Teke, and supporter of the TKE Educational Foundation.
I have served as the Director of Operations since September 1, 2007 and am a member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives.
What I Like To Do in My Free Time
GO GATORS – Three championships in thirteen months
I enjoy lobster season in the Florida Keys and relaxing with friends watching football. I served as a Scoutmaster for a Boy Scout Troop for 10 years, and continue to serve as the Southern Region Area Four Camping Committee Co-Chair. I enjoy cooking and spent a great deal of time helping with a family catering business.
