Responsibilities
The TEF President/CEO manages the Foundation and supervises a staff of three full-time professionals including two Major and Planned Gift Officers – Erik Glenn and Kathy Williams – as well as a Development Manager Bethany Warner. The Foundation raises money to support the educational programs of the Fraternity including the Regional Leadership Conferences, TKE Leadership Academy, Alumni Volunteer Academy, as well as chapter-specific Scholarships and Special Projects Funds to grant to undergraduate members.
The TEF President/CEO reviews all communications from the Foundation, manages a sizable prospect portfolio which includes all members of the TEF Board of Directors and Advisory Board, proposes a budget for the Foundation and meets with all board committees including the Investment Committee, Budget Committee, Executive Committee, Awards and Scholarship Committee, Audit Committee, Development Committee and Planned Giving Committee. He recruits new board and Advisory board members and helps to recruit as well as support Foundation Ambassadors.
The Foundation, in FY 2011 provided $500,000 in program support for the Fraternity including scholarships, educational grants, special projects grants and undergraduate members’ grants for educational programs. Assets of the Foundation total nearly $6.5 million.
