Retention is Key

Retention is Key

Retention is KeyAmazing and big recruitment classes are to be applauded without question. The hard work put in by the recruitment chairman and everyone else involved should be recognized by the whole chapter. Now comes the next phase - keeping them involved for the remaining years in college. From time to time, chapters struggle to retain members because there is a letdown after all of this effort to get them. TKE has a solution to this problem - The Blueprint.

The Blueprint Program is an innovative and interactive program that leads participants through their collegiate career with a structure for life-long learning. The program has four levels members seek to attain: Initiation, Order of the Founders, Knights of Classic Lore, and Fraternity for Life. More than 70 groups have signed on with several planning on installations of the program soon.

The program benefits both Tau Kappa Epsilon and each individual member. The organization asks for commitments from both entities that want to adopt this program to ensure its success. The major commitments are that the program will be done devoid of hazing and that the group commits to complete the program in its entirety, not relegating the program to a certain group of individuals within the group.

Statistics are hard to dispute, including the latest successes of this program.

  • Blueprint Groups recruit 30.8% more men than those not on it.
  • The number of initiates goes from 11.7 to 16.9 with the Blueprint.
  • Average chapter size goes from 36.1 to 42.1 on the program.
Things like public perception, campus administration support, and recruitment advantages are all benefits of signing on to this program. It shows everyone you have committed even more to create Better Men for a Better World.
Chapters/Colonies on The Blueprint work with the Offices of the Grand Chapter to have the program installed and connect a local volunteer to the group who will ensure the success and longevity of The Blueprint on that particular campus.
For more information or to apply to the program, please print off an application and email, fax, or mail it to Donnie Aldrich, Director of Programs.
