TKE Upsilon-Xi (Oakland University) Golf Outing

When: June 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Where: The Myth Golf Course
850 Stoney Creek Rd
Oakland Charter Township, MI 48363

Oakland University’s chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity will be hosting our fifth annual golf outing on June 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Myth Golf Course and Banquets will host this event, which includes a round of golf with a shotgun start, a luncheon, dinner, and a philanthropic program to conclude the evening. The event will benefit TKE’s international philanthropic partner, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 1962, famed comedian and TKE alumnus from University of Toledo Danny Thomas founded St. Jude in the belief that “no child should die in the dawn of life.” This world-renowned research hospital is unlike any other, and no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or the inability of the child’s family to pay. The treatment is second to none, involving some of the most advanced treatment for pediatric chronic diseases for over 67,000 patients annually. In addition to St. Jude, the TKE Educational Foundation will receive a portion of the proceeds from this event. The TKE Educational Foundation support the academic and leadership development goals of TKE’s collegiate membership by supporting annual leadership development conferences across North America and awarding more than $400,000 in scholarships and grants each year. Any contributions made to the aforementioned organizations are greatly appreciated, and will not go unnoticed. For this reason, any and all sponsors will be recognized on various media, including our chapter website, program agendas, flyers, posters, and during our concluding presentation, unless anonymity is requested.
